Senno, Aref, MD, MPH
Assistant Professor
Dr. Aref Senno joined the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in October 2024 in the Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Senno grew up in Chicago, Illinois but comes from a long line of Wisconsin dairy farmers. He graduated with honors from the University of California-Berkeley. He received a MPH from Yale University where he studied infectious disease epidemiology. Dr. Senno attended the University of Wisconsin for medical school and went on to complete his OBGYN residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA in 2023 where he received numerous awards in teaching and surgery.
Dr. Senno believes that healthcare is a fundamental right to all people. He works to hear his patients’ concerns, address their needs, and expedite care whenever possible. Patient comfort is a top priority. All efforts are made to provide gynecologic care to efficiently address needs while minimizing pain and anxiety. When treatments are discussed, the least invasive options are always presented first. When surgery is indicated, Dr. Senno uses minimally invasive surgical techniques to reduce pain, shorten healing time, and provide a more cosmetic end result.
Outside of work, he loves the outdoors, working on home projects, and exploring Milwaukee with his wife.
