Research Scientist

Introduction

Dr. Iden graduated from the University of Minnesota with a PhD in Neuroscience and completed postdoctoral positions at the University of Minnesota and UW-Milwaukee. Her graduate and postgraduate work focused on elucidating the rapid effects of estrogen on learning and memory.

Marissa joined the Rader Lab in 2013 as a research scientist, continuing her passion for research relevant to women’s health. Currently, her focus in the lab is identifying and functionally characterizing novel cervical cancer targets using HPV integration signatures as a guide.

In her free time, Marissa enjoys spending time with her friends and family, live music, and Olympic weightlifting.
