Introduction

Shawn C. Hake joined the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in August, 2021. She received her Bachelors of Science in Physician Assistant from University Wisconsin Madison May 2000. Following graduation she worked in General and Vascular Surgery for 6 years, before transitioning to Obstetrics and Gynecology Fall 2006 in the West Bend and Hartford area. In August 2021, she joined the Medical College of Wisconsin, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Department of Maternal Fetal Medicine group.

Shawn’s current practice involves caring for women in general obstetrics and gynecology, along with high risk pregnancies. She specializes in all areas of OB/GYN including, but not limited to, contraception options, prenatal care, postpartum care, STI’s, preventative care, management of menstrual issues, and education of women in regards to their general overall health. She also sees women with chronic maternal conditions that could potentially complicate their pregnancies including multiple gestations, diabetes in pregnancy, rheumatologic conditions in pregnancy and others. She also has an interest in Global Health and Medical Ethics, and has traveled internationally many times to provide care in underserved countries. She believes in health education, and providing patients with factual, unbiased information so they can make the best informed decision for themselves.

Shawn sees patients in the outpatient setting of the Maternal Fetal Concerns Center, as well as in the outpatient General Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic.

Outside of work, she enjoys running, reading, and traveling and spending time with her husband and 3 boys.
