Assistant Professor

Dr. Jennifer Gassner joined the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in October 2024 in the Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology as an Assistant Professor. She received her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison, WI, in 2016. She went on to complete her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Southern Illinois University in Springfield, IL, from 2016-2017 and Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, MO, from 2017-2020.

Following completion of her residency, she remained in St. Louis after graduation and practiced there for a year prior to relocating to Rhode Island. In Providence, RI, Dr. Gassner joined the Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology as an Assistant Professor at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and served as medical director. During her time in Rhode Island, she received honors in resident medical education.

Dr. Gassner is passionate about providing excellent medical care for women of all ages. Her particular interests include both high and low risk obstetrics, preventative care, and the medical and surgical management of abnormal uterine bleeding.

Dr. Gassner is also passionate about the education of residents and medical students and is involved with the medical student education through simulation.

Dr. Gassner sees patients in the Obstetrics and Gynecology clinic at the McKinley Health Center and performs surgeries and deliveries at Froedtert Hospital.

When not working, Dr. Gassner enjoys spending time with her husband, Brock, and their two French bulldogs, Olive and Hazel. She enjoys running, hiking, reading and playing piano.
