Assistant Professor
Dr. Rosinda De La Pena joined the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in August 2024 in our Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine as an Assistant Professor. Dr. De La Pena completed her medical degree from St. George’s University in Grenada and her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Ascension Providence/Michigan State University in Metro Detroit, Michigan. She then completed a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine in our department’s fellowship program.
Dr. De La Pena works with women whose pregnancies are complicated by a variety of medical conditions including diabetes, hypertensive disorders and autoimmune disease or by fetal congenital diseases. Her research interests include the pre-eclampsia, preterm labor, as well as the impact of bariatric surgery on pregnancy and neonatal outcomes.
Dr. De La Pena is involved in consistent efforts to integrate the most up-to-date evidence into patients’ management plans. She thoroughly enjoys teaching residents and medical students.
Outside of work, Dr. De La Pena enjoys exploring bars/restaurants, watching Green Bay Packers football, playing soccer, and planning for her next trip.
