Christian, CJ, MS, CGC
Licensed, Certified Genetic Counselor
As a genetic counselor in oncology, my goal is to educate patients and their families about the role genes play in modifying risk for cancer and help individuals navigate the medical and emotional implications of hereditary cancer risk. I strive to provide an environment which fosters patient-centered, informed decision-making about genetic testing and future health management.
CJ Christian, MS, CGC joined the Medical College of Wisconsin in August 2022. He graduated with a major in biology from Emory University in 2012. In 2019, he completed a master’s degree in genetic counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Genetic Counseling Program. CJ had 3 years of experience as an oncology genetic counselor in the Milwaukee area before joining the team at Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin. CJ sees patients for a wide variety of cancer types and enjoys working closely with patients and their providers to determine if genetic risks for cancer can assist with personal management and information for family members.
Outside of work, CJ enjoys reading, playing ice hockey, board games, hiking, and the occasional road trip.
