Assistant Professor
Dr. Genna Bonfiglio joined the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in September 2026 as an Assistant Professor in the Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Bonfiglio grew up in the Milwaukee area and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison for her undergraduate education. She obtained her medical degree at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Colorado in 2026. Dr. Bonfiglio was elected to the Gold Humanism Honors Society during medical school and was the Education Chief Resident during her final year of residency.
Dr. Bonfiglio looks forward to providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care in the Milwaukee community. Her interests include medical and surgical management of gynecologic conditions, family planning, pregnancy, and management of pregnancy complications. Providing patient-centered care is very important to Dr. Bonfiglio. She also has interests in improving medical education and addressing healthcare disparities.
Outside of work, Dr. Bonfiglio enjoys spending time with her family, running at the lakefront, hiking, skiing, painting, film photography, and watching the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Bucks.
