Negedu, Sunday, PhD

Dr. Negedu earned his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Louisiana State University, where he investigated the molecular mechanisms of transcriptional regulation mediated by chromatin boundary elements.

He joined the Ojesina Lab in 2025 as a postdoctoral researcher to further his passion for translational cancer research, aiming to improve patient outcomes. His current work focuses on characterizing the molecular signatures and therapeutic responses of atypical and less understood subsets of cervical cancer, including extrachromosomal HPV-associated and HPV-independent tumors.

Outside the lab, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, volunteering, and reading.
