Hill, Emily, MD

Associate Professor

I am honored to collaborate with and guide women and their families through surgery, cancer treatment and survivorship. I appreciate that Gynecologic Oncology uniquely combines rigorous surgery with long-term patient relationships

Introduction

Dr. Emily Hill joined the Medical College of Wisconsin Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology as an Associate Professor in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology in September 2025, after practicing Gynecologic Oncology at the University of Iowa for 10 years. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in 2007. She then went on to complete her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Chicago in 2011. Following residency, she completed a four year fellowship in the subspecialty of Gynecologic Oncology and Breast Surgery at Brown University/Women and Infants Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island. She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology since 2013 and Gynecologic Oncology since 2019.

Dr. Hill’s clinical practice involves the care of women with gynecologic malignancies including uterine, ovarian, fallopian tube, cervical, vulvar and vaginal malignancies and gestational trophoblastic disease. She performs surgery, including expertise in open, laparoscopic and robotic surgery and administers chemotherapy including targeted therapies. She sees patients for preventative care for high risk gynecologic hereditary conditions and for surveillance care. Dr. Hill also sees women with pelvic masses, pre-cancerous gynecologic conditions. She is a strong advocate of clinical trials.

She is passionate about collaborative care with patients and families and appreciates the long term patient relationships in Gyn Oncology. Her academic interests include hereditary genetic mutations (including breast and ovarian, and endometrial), gynecologic quality improvement, and HPV vaccination. She has presented her research on both local and national levels and has published in multiple peer-reviewed journals. She has received multiple teaching awards as a resident, fellow and faculty member. Dr. Hill is a member of The Society of Gynecologic Oncology.

Outside of work, Dr. Hill enjoys spending time with her husband and children and traveling. She also enjoys exploring the many coffee shops and restaurants in Milwaukee.
