Research Technologist
Hailey is a certified Molecular Biology Technologist (MB(ASCP)) with a B.S. in Biology and a strong background in molecular and cell biology. Hailey has gained hands-on experience in a wide range of techniques—from PCR, Sanger sequencing, and aCGH to cell-based assays like ELISA, BRET, and calcium flux. She’s worked extensively with mammalian cell lines, including CRISPR knockouts and inducible systems, and enjoys optimizing transfections and assay conditions to answer complex biological questions.
Her research in the Chen Lab focuses on using spleen cells to study the immune response to vaccines and immunotherapies in vitro. Hailey is excited for the Chen Lab’s research to inform the development of vaccines and immunotherapies moving forward. Outside of work, Hailey enjoys hiking, kayaking, and spending time with her dog.
