"Discussing Sexual Health for All Bodies"

Shannon Penzi

For over a decade, retired Ob/Gyn Dr. Panszi has dedicated her career to advancing patient care as a consultant specializing in gender competency in medical education and practice. She delivers high-impact talks at major teaching hospitals nationwide, bridging the gap between emerging gender medicine research and clinical practice with actionable strategies that benefit all patients. Drawing from her advocacy with transgender and nonbinary people and their families, as well as her medical background, she offers a unique perspective that brings forward insights often overlooked in healthcare. She continues to contribute her gender expertise to both PCORI-funded research and hospital consulting committees to improve patient care and communication. Dr. Panszi also hosts Gender Matters: Insights from a Physician, a podcast that equips providers with evidence-based insights to become trusted resources for their patients on gender-related topics.
