Maternal-Fetal Medicine Services and Specialized Care

The Maternal Fetal Care Center offers comprehensive health assessments and care for women with risk factors that may complicate a current or planned pregnancy. Available services include:

  • Chronic Medical Problems Affecting Pregnancy: Hypertension, Diabetes, Advanced Maternal Age
  • Blood Clotting Disorders: Acquired/Inherited Thrombophilia, Deep Vein Thrombosis/Pulmonary Embolus (PE)
  • Bleeding Disorders: Demophilia, Immune Thrombocytopenia (ITP)
  • Rh Factor/Isoimmunization
  • Preterm Labor: History and Risk Assessment
  • Abnormal Screening Tests: Cystic Fibrosis, Quad Marker Screen, First Trimester Screen
  • Invasive Fetal Testing and Treatment: Amniocentesis, Chorionic Villus Sampling (CVS), Fetal Procedures
  • Infections in Pregnancy (e.g. HIV, Zika)
  • Pregnancy Exposure Counseling: Medication Prescriptions or Drug Exposure During Pregnancy
  • Fetal Concerns Program/Birth Defects
  • Specialized Pregnancy Testing: Non-Stress Tests, Biophysical Profiles, Uterine Artery Doppler Flow
  • Hospital Care
  • Post-delivery Care
