Dr. Erica McKinney joined the Medical College of Wisconsin Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2024. She completed her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin, her master’s degree from Marquette University and her PhD in Counseling Psychology with a sub specialization in Health Psychology from the University of Georgia. Dr. McKinney completed her internship in Clinical Health Psychology/Consultation-Liaison at Henry Ford Health Sciences Center in 2022 and her Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Clinical Health Psychology at the University of Florida Health Sciences Center in 2023. Dr. McKinney joined the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology in 2024.
Dr. McKinney’s clinical interests include assessment and psychotherapy with a specialization in women’s health and infertility, reoccurring pregnancy loss, perinatal mental health, substance use and other addictive behaviors, chronic headache disorders, and culturally based forms of coping. In the department of OB/GYN, Dr. McKinney focuses on the psychological and social aspects of infertility and perinatal mental health.
Dr. McKinney is an active member of the American Psychological Association. She sees patients in the Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility Clinic at North Hills and in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology clinic at McKinley Health Center.
