Dr. Susan Duyar joined the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in July 2022 in our Division of Gynecologic Oncology as a Gynecologic Oncology Fellow. Dr. Duyar completed her Medical degree at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Northwestern University in Chicago.
Dr. Duyar works with women who are undergoing workup or management of gynecologic malignancies. This may include surgery or adjuvant treatment like chemotherapy for cancer of the uterus, cervix, ovary, vulva, or vagina. Her research interests include novel therapeutics for recurrent cancers, bioethics and patient and family decision-making.
Dr. Duyar obtained her Master’s degree in Bioethics and Medical Humanities from Northwestern University and enjoys integrating the humanities in her approach to patient care. Additionally, she enjoys maximizing the surgical education of both residents and medical students and received annual Medical Student Teaching Awards throughout her residency.
Outside of work, Dr. Duyar enjoys spending time with her family and friends, including her husband and cat, going dancing, and exploring new restaurants and cafes.
