Amanda Jacquart, MS

“My focus as a genetic counselor is to educate patients and families about basic genetic concepts and the role genes play in modifying their personal risk factors for disease. I aim to provide an environment which fosters the patient’s informed decision making regarding genetic testing and future health management. My goal is to help mediate the process by which patients and their families discover how to come to terms with the medical and psychological impacts of a hereditary condition.”

Amanda joined the Maternal Fetal Care Center and Department of OBGYN in July 2014. She received her Master of Science degree in Genetic Counseling from the University of Pittsburgh in 2014. She is originally from Northern Wisconsin and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology in 2012 from the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay. She is eligible to sit for the American Board of Genetic Counseling exam in 2015 to become a Board Certified Genetic Counselor.
