Klatt, Timothy E., MD

Dr. Timothy Klatt joined the department as an assistant professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in July, 2004.

He graduated from University of Pittsburgh in 1988. He completed his residency at the University of Cincinnati.

Dr. Klatt’s areas of clinical expertise are patient safety, quality improvement, complicated gynecology, complicated obstetrics, gynecologic surgery, minimally invasive surgery, vaginal surgery, hysteroscopy, and care of obese women.

Dr. Klatt focuses his research on patient safety and continuous quality improvement.

He has received numerous awards. He was elected to the 2011-2012 Best Doctors in America. He has been one of the 20 highest scoring physicians in patient satisfaction in 2010, 2009 and 2005. He received the Faculty Scholar in Teaching Patient Safety and Quality Improvement-Stipend Award in 2009. He has been recognized as one of the Medical College of Wisconsin Outstanding Medical Student Educators in the 2009-2010 academic year and again in the 2007-2008 academic year. He has also received the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics (APGO) Excellence in Teaching Award for outstanding contributions to undergraduate medical education in 2005.

He is an Oral Board Examiner for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and started in 2008.

Dr. Klatt sees patients in the Obstetrics and Gynecology clinic at Froedtert Hospital, located in our Specialty Clinics Building, formerly known as Froedtert East Clinics. He also delivers babies at the Children’s Hospital Of Wisconsin.
