Hopp, Elizabeth E., MD
Assistant Professor
Dr. Elizabeth Hopp joined the Medical College of Wisconsin Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology as an Assistant Professor in the division of Gynecologic Oncology in August 2019. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2012. She then went on to complete her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2016. Following residency, she completed a three year fellowship in the subspecialty of Gynecologic Oncology at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio.
Dr. Hopp’s clinical practice involves the care of women with gynecologic malignancies including uterine, ovarian, primary peritoneal, fallopian tube, cervical, vulvar and vaginal malignancies along with gestational trophoblastic disease. She performs surgery, administers chemotherapy including targeted therapies, and sees patients for surveillance care. Dr. Hopp also sees women with pelvic masses, pre-cancerous gynecologic conditions, and for cancer screening and prevention. She has expertise in minimally invasive surgery, including robotic surgery.
Her academic interests include research in cost-effectiveness of gynecologic cancer care. She has shared her research on both local and national levels at various conferences and has published in multiple peer-reviewed journals. She was awarded two grants in fellowship to pursue her research. Other honors include a scholarship in teaching award from the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine along with research awards in residency and medical school.
Dr. Hopp is a member of The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and The Society of Gynecologic Oncology.
Outside of work, Dr. Hopp enjoys spending time with her family and exploring Milwaukee. She also enjoys playing tennis, running, and trying new recipes.
