Dr. Sofia Gabrilovich joined the Medical College of Wisconsin Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology as an Assistant Professor in the division of Gynecologic Oncology in September 2024. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL in 2015. She then went on to complete her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School (NJMS) in Newark, NJ in 2019. Following residency, she completed a two year research fellowship and also worked as OBGYN Generalist at Rugers NJMS. She then continued on to fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa, completed in June of 2024. She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Gabrilovich specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of gynecologic cancers, including ovarian, uterine, cervical, vulvar cancers and gestational trophoblastic disease. Her clinical practice encompasses a range of services, including personalized treatment plans that integrate surgical options, chemotherapy, clinical trial enrollment and surveillance care. Dr. Gabrilovich also sees women with pelvic masses, pre-cancerous gynecologic conditions, and for cancer screening and prevention. She has expertise in minimally invasive surgery, including robotic surgery.

Dr. Gabrilovich is passionate about empowering patients throughout their cancer journeys. She believes that informed patients are better equipped to make decisions about their care. By creating a supportive environment based on trust and understanding, she aims to make a positive impact on the lives of the women she treats. Her commitment extends beyond clinical practice. She is dedicated to education, research and advocacy, raising awareness about gynecologic cancers and promoting health equity for women of all backgrounds.

Dr. Gabrilovich is a member of the Society of Gynecologic Oncology.

Outside of work, Dr. Gabrilovich enjoys spending time with her family (including a dog and cat) and exploring Milwaukee. She also enjoys running and baking.
