Resident Experience & Rotation Schedules

Residents in each year are assigned to an obstetrics, gynecology or subspecialty service for 6-8 week blocks of time. During each rotation, residents care for patients in the outpatient clinic, the labor and delivery suite, inpatient units and or in the operating room. Resident activities in all of these areas are supervised by the appropriate faculty.

Clinical, Translational Science, and Educational Research

An original research project presented at the end of the third year of training is required.

Continuity Clinics

Continuity clinics are held weekly by all residents (except chief residents) at Ascension – St. Joseph Campus and Ascension – Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital.

Education Workshops

Throughout the years of residency, educational workshops are performed with faculty and residents.

Resident Retreat

In September of each year, all OBGYN residents participate in a weekend-long retreat.
