The Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology provide extensive benefits.
All Medical College of Wisconsin residents’ contract and benefits are provided by the Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals (MCWAH).
First-year residents are entitled to three weeks of paid vacation per year. All other residents are entitled to three weeks of paid vacation and up to one week of paid education leave per year.
Second-year residents and above receive up to one week to attend a CME conference of their choice. Department education funds (see below) can be used to pay for this experience.
All residents have protected time every Wednesday morning to attend the residency-wide grand rounds at one of our hospitals. Faculty lead a morbidity and mortality conference followed by didactic lectures on a wide variety of pertinent subjects.
Each resident receives departmental funds totaling up to $5,000 that can be used towards the purchase of educational materials and expenses for educational conferences over their four years of training.
In addition, the Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals (MCWAH) provides an annual $1,500 stipend to be used for licensing fees and other necessary costs.
Parking is free at Froedtert, St. Mary’s, and St. Joseph’s Hospitals.
On-call meals are provided at all three sites.
Lab coats and laundry service are provided to all residents.
