Lindsey McAlarnen, MD

Introduction

Dr. Lindsey A. McAlarnen joined the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in July 2020 in our Division of Gynecologic Oncology as a Gynecology Oncology Fellow. Dr. McAlarnen completed her Medical degree from Florida State University College of Medicine and her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago.

Dr. McAlarnen works with women who are undergoing workup or management of gynecologic malignancies. This may include surgery or adjuvant treatment like chemotherapy for cancer of the uterus, cervix, ovary, vulva, or vagina. Her research interests include optimizing treatment for cancer recurrence, survivorship, and medical education.

Dr. McAlarnen enjoys educating medical students and residents both inside and outside the operating room. She has been recognized annually as the medical student teacher of the year for the Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine Department of OBGYN.

Outside of work, Dr. Livergood enjoys spending time with her family and friends, including her golden retriever, reading, and spending time outdoors.
