Rachel Harrison, MD

Maternal – Fetal Medicine Fellow

Introduction

Dr. Rachel Harrison joined the department as a fellow in maternal fetal medicine in July 2017. She attended medical school at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, MI from 2009-2013. She completed residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago in Chicago, Illinois in 2017.Dr. Harrison’s clinical and research interests include preterm birth prevention, ultrasound and obesity. Her previous research investigated the relationship of patient BMI with cervical length and other pregnancy outcomes.

Dr. Harrison is a dedicated educator and truly enjoys teaching residents and medical students. She was awarded the medical student teaching award multiple times during her residency.

Outside of work, Dr. Harrison enjoys spending time with her pets (Charlie and Rosy), Orange Theory workout classes, Broadway musicals and fantasy novels.
