Greetings from Wheaton Franciscan-St. Joseph. Congratulations to the new graduating residents.

Wheaton Franciscan-St. Joseph was selected by Becker’s Hospital Review in 2013 to receive “100 Hospitals with Great Women’s Health Programs” recognition. In appreciation of Dr. Dennis Worthington’s 40 years of medical service, a Labor and Delivery Endowment Fund has been established to honor his leadership in fostering the Labor and Delivery program at St. Joe’s, which will provide resources to ensure the finest medical expertise and technology are available to help minimize health risks for mothers and assist physicians in providing care that encourages positive outcomes.

Dr. Beth Hill-Karbowski received the Marvin Wagner, MD Clinical Preceptor Award in September, 2013. We also congratulate her for receiving her PhD in May, 2014!

Dr. Alfred Franger retired in February, 2014 after 50 years of service. One of our longtime L&D nursing staff, Bonnie Marcus, RN, has retired in February, 2014 after 27 years of service.

It is with sadness that we say goodbye to John Brennan, MD who passed away on January 12, 2014. He has practiced in Milwaukee for over 50 years.
