Yi-Wen Huang, PhD, Receives Athena’s Run Endometrial Cancer Research Grant

huangThe Foundation for Women’s Cancer Research Grants & Awards Committee has selected Dr. Huang’s research application entitled “Targeting the miR-137-KDM1 axis as a therapeutic strategy for high-grade endometrial carcinomas” to receive its Athena’s Run Endometrial Cancer $50,000 Research Grant.

This award will be presented at the Society of Gynecologic Oncology (SGO) Annual Meeting on Women’s Cancer in Chicago, IL on Sunday, March 29, 2015.

Yi-Wen Huang, PhD, is a part of our research faculty and his laboratory focuses on identifying epigenetic changes involved in the endometrial tumorigenesis. Currently, genetic and pharmacologic approaches are being applied to understand the roles of miR-137 and KDM1A in endometrial cancer development and treatment.
