14 Sep Perinatologist and OBGYN Residency Alum, Anna Palatnik, joins our Medical College of Wisconsin faculty
Dr. Anna Palatnik, OBGYN Residency class of 2013, has been appointed Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin in September, 2016.
She will see patients at the Maternal Fetal Care Center at Froedtert Hospital in the Specialty clinics.
She received her doctor of medicine from The Sackler School of Medicine at the University of Tel Aviv, Israel in 2016. She completed residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2013. She then went on to complete a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal-Medicine at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine, Chicago, IL in 2016.
Dr. Palatnik’s areas of expertise include high risk obstetrics with an emphasis on pregnancies complicated by maternal chronic medical conditions, as well as fetal growth restriction, multiple gestations, preterm birth and cervical insufficiency, including performing vaginal cerclage. Her other areas of expertise are prenatal diagnosis and ultrasonography.
Her research interests include clinical obstetrics, fetal growth restriction and prenatal diagnosis of congenital heart disease. She has presented her research in several national and international meetings and has multiple peer-review publications.
She has received numerous awards throughout her training including “The Northwestern University Best Residents’ Teacher award” in 2016. She was the cheif resident in 2013. She was awarded the OBGYN resident teacher award in 2012. She received the Jack A. and Elaine D. Klieger Resident Award for the best Resident Research project in 2011.
Outside of work, she likes to spend time with her family and friends, enjoys traveling, yoga, piano playing and musicals.
