Show your Support for Donate Life Month in April

DonateLife-Logo-242x150April is National Donate Life Month – a time to raise awareness about organ, tissue and eye donation and the life-saving impact of those generous gifts.

Did you know, more than 2,200 people in Wisconsin need life-saving organs? Across the nation, more than 121,000 people are in the same situation, waiting patiently for organs that will save their lives.

As part of a nationally recognized adult and pediatric Transplant Center, within our Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin health network we are committed to helping save the lives of people who need transplants to survive.

  • Nationally 79 transplants occur each day, but there are not enough donors … 22 people die each day.
  • 1 donor saves 8 lives and can change the lives of more than 50 people.
  • Anyone, 15 ½ or older can be a donor, regardless of health.
  • Donation can include kidneys, liver, heart, lungs, pancreas, intestines, tissue and corneas.
  • Sign up at froedtert.com/donatelife
