Ramani Ramchandran, PhD receives MCW’s Faculty Innovator Award

Ramani Ramchandran, PhD, OBGYN’s Patrick J. and Margaret G. McMahon endowed Professor and Vice Chair of Research, received the Faculty Innovator Award. Dr. Ramchandran received this award for demonstrating a level of maturity both at the scientific and administrative level which is well beyond his years. In presenting the award to Dr. Ramchandran, Dr. Kerschner referred to his energy as infectious – citing how it often leads to new initiatives and directions. Further, Dr. Kerschner shared that Dr. Ramchandran has continuously shown a penchant for excellence and that his innovative and bold ideas benefit many.

The 2014 Community of Innovators Awards were presented at Convocation on Wednesday, September 10, by Joseph E. Kerschner, MD, Dean of the Medical School and Executive Vice President of the Medical College of Wisconsin. This award was established by the Dean last year to recognize sustained, distinguished and superb achievement in original research, scholarship and education by MCW faculty members who, by demonstrating a superior level of innovation within their respective fields, have created a new dimension of performance.
