28 Aug Obstetrician and Gynecologist Jessica Francis joins Medical College of Wisconsin faculty
Dr. Jessica Francis has been appointed Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical College of Wisconsin in July, 2014. She will see patients at Froedtert Hospital and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. She will also serve as the Associate Director of Residency.
She graduated from the Michigan State University, College of Human Medicine in 2007. She completed residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2011. She then went on to complete a fellowship in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology at Baylor College of Medicine in 2013.
Dr. Francis’ areas of clinical expertise are low risk obstetrics, gynecologic surgery, minimally invasive surgery vaginal surgery, and care of pediatric and adolescent patients.
Dr. Francis has focused her research efforts on exploring the gynecologic needs of pediatric and adolescent patients.
She has received numerous awards throughout her training. She was awarded the OB GYN resident teacher award in 2007 and 2008. She received the MCWAH house staff award as well as the Jessica Lin award for patient care excellence by a resident in 2010. She was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honors society in 2010.
