MFM Fellow, Rachel Harrison, MD, Publishes Paper in the Journal of Maternal-Fetal & Neonatal Medicine

Rachel Harrison, MD, 3rd year Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellow, under the mentorship of Anna Palatnik, MD, Assistant Professor in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, published a paper on Peripartum infectious morbidity in women with preeclampsia in the Journal of Maternal-Fetal & Neonatal Medicine.

It evaluates the risk of maternal peripartum infections (such as chorioamnionitis, endometritis, and wound infection) in women with preeclampsia. They found that women with preeclampsia did not have higher rates of peripartum infections.
