Michael Lund, MD

In honor of National Doctors’ Day, celebrated on March 30, the Office of Development invited individuals to “Honor a Doctor” by making a donation in the name of a physician who treated them or one of their family members.

The day was first celebrated nationally in 1991 to recognize our nation’s physicians for their leadership in the prevention and treatment of illness and injury. Donations were made to recognize over 120 Froedtert & MCW and community physicians, including one of our physicians, Dr. Michael Lund, who is an obstetrician/gynecologist in our department.

Eleanor Delfs cropAnother physician honored was Dr. Eleanor Delfs, who was the first Patrick J. and Margaret G. McMahon Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She was a scholar and humanitarian who gave birth to a generation of obstetricians. We have a lectureship in honor of her contributions.

Thank you to all of our physicians for your hard work and dedication to make our lives better.
