25 Feb Kelly Morey Celebrates 25 Years at MCW
And just like that, 25 years go by. Kelly Morey, our Residency Coordinator, celebrated her 25 years service here Medical College of Wisconsin OBGYN department.
She started her career here on June 27, 1994 as the Residency Assistant and Administrative Assistant to multiples physicians. She then became a Senior Administrative Assistant working with many different divisions and faculty within our dept. She left the residency program for a brief period in 2010 and became the Family Planning Coordinator. Kelly then returned to assisting the residency program again late 2014 and in May of 2017, she became the OBGYN Residency Coordinator.
On top of her daily tasks, she is always there to help anyone and stops everything she is doing to help answer a question. She has put in countless hours here to help our department grow to where it is today. She has and is a great friend to everyone.
She attended MCW’s 37th annual Employee Service Award on Friday, Feb. 7, at the Milwaukee County Zoo, Peck Welcome Center, honoring more than 240 employees with 40, 35, 30, 25, 20, 15 and 10 years of continuous service to MCW. Honorees totaled more than 4,190 cumulative years of service.
Dr. Paul Lemen had the privilege of introducing her and sharing her years here at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
“I have known Kelly since 1994, when she started at MCW when I was an intern. In that time, she has worn many hats, filled many roles, supported countless people, groups, and programs.
Kelly is on the very short list of most capable people I have ever known. Compulsive, detail-driven, and hard-working. I am constantly surprised at her efficiency to get things unplanned tasks done immediately without letting the “regular” stuff slip by. She has been a constant asset to me, the department, and to the college at large.
But she is also a friend. Kind, funny, and thoughtful – she is not just my admin support, but frequently my support person in every sense. I am glad she has been here 25 years so that I have had her help all along.”
Thank you, Kelly, for all of your work and support over the years.
