consumer-choice-awards_logo_2016-2017For the 12th consecutive year, Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Froedtert Hospital has earned the Consumer Choice Award from the National Research Corporation. Froedtert is the only Milwaukee hospital and one of just nine in Wisconsin to make the list. The award identifies hospitals that consumers consider to have the highest quality and reputation in more than 300 markets throughout the United States.

“Value in healthcare today is about quality, access and affordability,” said Froedtert Hospital President Cathy Buck. “As eastern Wisconsin’s only academic medical center, we set high goals to ensure a patient-friendly environment where doctors, nurses and staff work together to deliver timely, effective, appropriate care. We’re grateful to our patients and our community for showing their confidence in us by consistently honoring us with this award.”

To determine the top hospitals, NRC conducts an annual survey of more than 300,000 consumers across the United States. Hospitals selected for the 2016-2017 Consumer Choice Award were chosen by people who live in the communities these organizations serve. Winning hospitals are those with the highest scores in four categories including best overall quality, best doctors, best nurses, and best overall image and reputation.
