Care of transgender patients requires providers to be aware of issues specific to this population. A multidisciplinary approach is essential for a safe and effective transition. This symposium addresses the counseling, hormone treatment as well as surgical options available to transgender patients.

The symposium’s objectives:

  • Identify guidelines for establishing care of transgender patients
  • Identify special considerations for health screening for transgender patients
  • Identify options for transition with medical and surgical interventions

Finding accurate information about fibroids can be difficult especially in regards to diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Beran and Dr. Fairchild have teamed together to offer a collaborative clinic for consulting on challenging cases of uterine fibroids. This class will provide a better understanding of uterine fibroids highlighted by a thorough review of treatment options.
